A Little About Me:
I have PR and Marketing experience in all sectors of the market and until recently held the budgets and implemented campaigns for clients which include The Duke of Wellington's estate, Wellington Country Park.

I also contracted as Press Officer for Children's Books at Oxford University Press and as PR Manager for an independent hotel group in Newbury. During this time I was the media liaison for Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa which won several awards including AA Hotel of the Year as well as The Vineyard at Stockcross which received a 2nd Michelin Star amongst other prestigious awards.
A Little About My Business
Remote Employment was launched in January 2008. The website specialises in home based, flexible and remote working with professional positions, full time and part time vacancies. We believe we are unique for although the concept of home working has been around for some time, there hasn't been a dedicated website that specialises in providing a recruitment service for this sector.

Remote Employment serves the needs of three different user groups:
Employers can access the growing number of highly skilled Job Seekers and Freelancers who wish to work flexibly or remotely.
Job Seekers can find reputable companies that understand the advantages of working remotely, working from home or in a flexi office-home job combination.
Freelancers and consultants, perhaps the most familiar audience with working flexibly, can contract business or creative projects.

Currently, around 3.1 million people usually or regularly work from home and this is likely to double by 2012. A staggering 'one in seven' mothers work flexible hours with 12 percent of them using a 'Term Time' working arrangement. According to the Office for National Statistics there are a growing number of women-owned businesses in the UK, almost one million, with around half a million women working from home.

What Do You Aim To Achieve In The Next 12 Months?
I believe companies will benefit with this online service as it is over 50% cheaper than conventional recruitment advertising and offers monthly and yearly subscriptions, rather than a one off advert. The work remotely concept can be used for the creation of new positions and to test the cost benefit before making the position permanent. Remote work is also ideally used for handling employment peaks and troughs in a cost effective way.

This concept interests large and small companies, yet for different reasons. Working remotely has many positive effects on both employees and employers, with Directors and CEOs believing this trend is likely to develop over the next few years.

If anyone is interested I will run something similiar to your profile and if you have a business - noticed yours Helen (sent you an email already - Phew!) and want me to showcase you on my site I will link sites, give you a blurb or banner advert and write an article on you and your business relating to working from home of course.

Anyone who loves to write please get in touch as I need some articles for our site. You would never believe that I am actually a writer (not yet published) and Press Officer for many years but with all the operational stuff for the website, the marketing and finding clients to advertise keeps me so busy I don't have time to write articles. Thus I will publish articles and features relating to home based business or working from home with your name on - good chance to get published. Says she who has been trying to find an agent and publisher or children's books and thriller screenplays! Hey ho, you all know what it's like. With a business, a man and a teenager, where does the time go?

Hi Paula - great to have you here - you'll be a fantastic asset to WM's. The site is fairly similar to GP in terms of layout, so I'm sure you'll have no probs finding your way around!
We have a resources tab at the top which will point out some hidden areas and generally point you in the right direction!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Nikki
