Results are in - now it's time to return to work.

I got my A level results back and did much better that I thought I would. I got an A for my AS chemistry and a B for the overall A Level ( I did them both in the same year). I am obviously really pleased with these - phew. Alas though, my SEO work fell to the wayside during the last 3 months and it has really shown with regards to hits and sales. It's back to the drawing board really. I have to start from scratch again to try and get Green Beginnings… Continue

That's it - all done.

At last, that's it. It's all over. I had my last exam todya - yippeeee. Now, I am twiddling my thumbs and don't know where to start!! I'll have a lot of work to do at greenbeginnings, adding new eco-friendly and organic products and I would like to revamp the site a little before the children break up for the summer holidays. I have a great baby and toddler sun scree… Continue

Struggling on with the chemistry

Well, I had my third exam today which didn't go so well. I have just one left, next Thursday and to tell you the truth, I can't wait for it all to be over now. I'm sure that my website is suffering as I haven't been able to work on it for weeks, though I did manage to sneak 5 minutes the other day and add a natural lavender deodorant (no alcohol, no aluminium salts and no parabens) and s… Continue

Revising hard

Getting a bit bogged down in chemistry at the moment. Needed a break so I just added some Green Baby Nipple Balm to my website in the New Mother section. Also added some Neutral sun screen SPF30 for allergic ski… Continue

web site name

I was thinking of changing my website name to www.greenbeginnings.co.uk as I thought that people in the UK might be more happy to use that instead of the www.greenbeginnings.eu name. If anyone has any comments about this I would love to hear them. I managed to add another item the other day to my summer sun skin care range. I added… Continue

Hi Samantha,
Sorry I've not been intouch! It's only just come to light that the page with all the info on wasn't working after the PayPal sign up! When you signed up - you should have been re-directed to a page of info - no matter! What you need to do is decide what products you want to go in the mall and then send the url of each product to nikki@webmums.com. I can take the pics and item description from your website but prices need to include P&P so if they don't already, you can either give me an individual P&P per item or if it's standard, I can add it on to each product as I go!
As you can imagine, I've alot of products to get on which is why it's taking some time to get to everyone and also why I gave the 1st two months free!
I'm hoping to have all products on by the weekend and then I can concentrate on the SEO and marketing!
Any further questions - just gimme a shout!

...oh, I don't know if you have seen or not but your shop-front is already on the Mall. I did a bit of a re-hash of your logo but if you have something you'd rather use then send that with your urls and I will change it for you,
Nikki

Hi Samantha,
I love the products that you have for offer on your site. I would like to ask you if you would like to sponsor our internet tv show Mouth of Babes. In return we will credit you in the video and link to you on our sites. Sorry to be so forward, but I think it is a good deal and I would love to help promote your products. Check out our project via above link.

Hi Samantha,

The baby show went well. I do offer dropshipping for buyers, where I hold the stock and if you receive a sale you just email me the details pay for the item then I send the goods to your customer. Thats basically how it works.Do you know anyone that would like to sell the cosy shoppers?
If you do please get intouch with me.

Sam,

I've just sent you a great long speil via EKM - didn't realise you already joined. If you read the email - you'll see that you don't need to link to here - just spread the word!

IAnyway, I hope you are finding your way around the site ok and using the resources that Web Mums has to offer. In addition to socialising with a fantastic group of women there is the opportunity to network and really sell your business. Web Mums is growing daily and the traffic to the site is dramatically increasing, so make the most of your profile pages.

If you are finding the site confusing then have a look at our users guide and site map this can be found on the main home pages navigation menu. You will also find the business forum a valuable resource in addition to perhaps joining some of our groups.

You have been given a whole profile page to tell the world about yourself and/or your business. Many women have it for personal use but if you are a business – this is your chance to really sell yourself. You have a text box at the top of the page that you can use to describe your business, add photo’s of your products with links back to the products on your website and you can use it to introduce yourself and maybe a little bit about why you started your business.

Also, if you belong to any affiliate schemes – you can put the code here too. Make money from your profile page!

You have potentially 180+ customers on just this website alone and they all have friends/contacts and that is without the huge potential of passing traffic. Treat your profile like a mini website – word of mouth is one of the best endorsements any site can get.

In addition to this, you also have the facility to blog about what you do and you can also include links within this to specific products. If you have a blog elsewhere then copy and paste it over to Web Mums. The more blogs you have around the internet – the better rankings you will get with the search engines.

There are new members joining every day, maybe someone will join tomorrow that could open amazing doors for your business – so don’t add a few links and never come back and check Web Mums again. It is to your advantage to use this site as much as possible – that is what networking is all about. Also the information that is being added all the time may just be the info you needed to accomplish a goal within your business/life.

And that’s not all, you also have the chance to hook up to an RSS Feed. This is particularly useful if your site has an RSS feed to your products – like eBay. Yes! You can display the products you are currently selling on eBay via your profile page (if you don’t know how to do this then ask me) it only costs £1 per month!! Then why not put a post in the Buy and Sell forum to highlight what you currently have on offer so that people will check out your profile page.

The possibilities are really endless and this is the tip of the iceberg to what you can really achieve! Web Mums isn’t just a directory – it’s a network of women pooling resources to help each other.

Finally, if you are really serious about wanting to advertise your business then why not take out an advertisement on the main page so that you get optimum exposure. The prices are incredibly reasonable for members and can be discounted for 3 – 6 month terms. To view our current advertising fees see the forum of look under ‘Adverting fees’ in the navigation menu on the home page.

Also, if you would like to be included in the business directory, let me know – please specify whether you wish to be on the front page directory which is only £3.50 per three months – less than £1 a month, (This offer is valid until 21st March when it will then be £3.50 per month – which is still only about 85p a week), or whether you wish to be in the free one which will be within the site. You will automatically appear on both if you have a paid subscription. All payment would be preferred by PayPal – but you don’t need to have a PayPal account to do this.

If you have any questions or you would like further help promoting your site, then please feel free to contact me via my profile page or you can send me a personal message or email me at nikki@webmums.com
