Yay! another pound, it may not sound a lot but the pound here and there has enabled me to buy a pair of jeans that don't look entirely ridiculous. Trying to get a bit more serious this week but have a weekend of birthday celebrations for carys (including a sleepover), which i know will see me her and her 2 best friend eating sweets in her room at midnight!
Have to say Karen that having seen you in the afore-mentioned jeans - that they look really great, especially with the pink coat you had on with them!
I don't know if it's the jeans - but you can really see a difference in your shape - you are looking fab!
I feel I may need to throw in a Gok Wan 'Go Girlfriend' at this point!!!
I have had muesli today for brekkie and no snacks at all. I'm also having a bit of a detox with a 2 week break from alcohol! Forgot to weigh myself this morning and muesli weighs a ton - so shall weigh myself tomorrow instead!
Brilliant Helen! I have just been reading about new research that shows a vegan diet is good for people with rheumatoid arthritis like me, that has got to be good for the waistline!
Hi Everyone this is my first post on this thread unfourtunatly it's not a good one. I only get weighed every four weeks with the doc and when i went today i had put on 2lbs. So i now need to get back to it and lose the 2lbs that i have put on and hopefully some more.
Good luck to everyone else hope to hear how you are doing .
What a life we do lead, been to all of the diet clubs, tried the shakes, even to the doctor giving me slimming tablets and weighing me each week, but still stuck at this weight, i am it says in this book overweight as in obese, i hate that word! i heard i was pleasantly plump i heard some chap say once, i didnt like that, i heard i was cuddly, i didn't like that either, i don't see in the mirror i am at all big, alittle overweight maybe, but i wouldnt think i was, until the doctor says i need to lose about 5 stone, well blimey you could have knocked me down with a feather, so 2 years on i am now 3 stone overweight! does this make a difference, well i still feel like i always do, i can binge with the best of them, i can starve too, but still this weight aint coming off, i am 40 now they said when old age sets in, Blimey old age, 40 isn't old, i am still a teenager in my head. Still got the spotty skin thats for sure prove i am still a teenager, true wouldn't you agree?
So Monday i shall start the diet again, walk to and from work, which is half mile there and half back, which is 30 mins walk to and from.
And i shall say no to cakes, chocolates, and pastries, i work close to a shopping centre, to get the bus home i have to walk past greggs! they just pull me in, honest, i don't walk in myself, come on i am a health freak, i don't see my reflection in the shop windows with my hands wrapped around a paperbag holding a yummy hot pasty, or is it my reflection i see at the bus stop waiting for the bus, is me with a chocolate eclair, oh no! not me!
And that saying my sister who is a size 6 comes out with, i could easily punch her on the nose, she says, your get fat eating that, i am already statically fat according to the national figures.
Anyhow my doctor when i asked for slimming tablets said i was not fat, that his race do not like skinny women, would made me even more determined to diet LOL!
Do i keep my weight to myself, as i havent told a soul upto now, and if it was a sole i would have ate it LOL!
Helen you most certainly keep your weight to yourself and just tell everyone how much you have lost. And I will join you next Tuesday and see how we have done!
well ladies im gonna be here to cheer you all on but i wont be joining in as i no longer have a waist line lol good luck i wish you all the best xxxxxx
As i said last time i would be back to let you know how i'm doing. It's good to see that this group is actvie again.
Anyway i have been to the docs today, i did have to wait 5 week for this weigh in but i have lost 7 1/2lbs in that time. The doc was very happy with me. My next appointment is on July 1st but i will drop in to see how everyone else is doing.
