I promised Nikki to write a blog about what happened when I joined Web Mums.
Basically I met Helen from Scentsible Solutions on here and she encouraged me to take the plunge and have my own ethical skin care label. Helen is an aromatherapist and so has the right credentials and experience - which is why I decided: nothing ventured, nothing gained!
I found myself a label designer and a label printer and off I went. There are currently three ethical skin care products available:
whipped shea butter cream,
Perk Me Up Body Oil and
Organic Shea butter & Aloe Face Cream (sorry Helen - not your creation ;-((.
Three more items are "in production": shampoo, conditioner and a very delicious whipped shea body butter with chocolate and orange scent ...Can't wait for the finished results here, Helen ;-)

I think Helen and I are having a lot of fun creating these delicious skin care goodies together. Which is important as if it wouldn't be fun, I wouldn't want to do it and neither would Helen (I think).
I have now asked an eco PR company to help me sell my skin care range to retail outlets such as the National Trust. They should have started the campaign today and I keep you posted about the outcome.
I guess what I want to say is: Web Mums is a great place to meet like minded people and with a little bit of imagination and courage you too can create something truly wonderful that is saleable and gives you lots of joy.
Oh, and did I mention that Web Mums receive a 10% discount on these products (enter the voucher code
webmums in the coupon field during checkout)?
Congratulations to you both - make sure you keep us posted and go to every darn forum that you chat on and tell them about Web Mums. ;-)
