As the sun is out and there have been a lot of media stories about skin cancer this week I just wanted to share some thoughts with you:

This week a member of Bruce Springsteens band died from malignant melanoma, Ewan Mcgregor had 2 areas of skin cancer removed from his face and David Hasselhof has also had an operation to remove something from his face that is suspected to be skin cancer.

I have just waved husband and sprog off for 4 days of surfing! Fortunately my generally dodgy state of health gets me out of this trip, which means i won't be in the sea in this weather Hooray.

So... once I have restored the house to sanity, tomorrow will be a trip to Brighton to makeover my underwear, buy some lotions and potions to de wrinkle my face and maybe make a teensy bit of difference to my cottage cheese legs and generally shop without whining in my ear (and thats just Neil).

And what a lovely morning it is in sunny Haywards Heath. We went to Brighton yesterday and beleve it or not it was warm enough to sit on the beach and eat chips!

I took my Mum and stepdad with me and we had a whale of a time doing what I call naughty shopping i.e going in the shops where you can't really afford anything but want to nose around. so we went in Cath Kidston and bought tissues and keyrings and Laura Ashley and bought a catalogue!
