A Little About Me:
I have PR and Marketing experience in all sectors of the market and until recently held the budgets and implemented campaigns for clients which include The Duke of Wellington's estate, Wellington Country Park.

I also contracted as Press Officer for Children's Books at Oxford University Press and as PR Manager for an independent hotel group in Newbury. During this time I was the media liaison for Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa which won several awards including AA Hotel of the Year as well as The Vineyard at Stockcross which received a 2nd Michelin Star amongst other prestigious awards.
A Little About My Business
Remote Employment was launched in January 2008. The website specialises in home based, flexible and remote working with professional positions, full time and part time vacancies. We believe we are unique for although the concept of home working has been around for some time, there hasn't been a dedicated website that specialises in providing a recruitment service for this sector.

Remote Employment serves the needs of three different user groups:
Employers can access the growing number of highly skilled Job Seekers and Freelancers who wish to work flexibly or remotely.
Job Seekers can find reputable companies that understand the advantages of working remotely, working from home or in a flexi office-home job combination.
Freelancers and consultants, perhaps the most familiar audience with working flexibly, can contract business or creative projects.

Currently, around 3.1 million people usually or regularly work from home and this is likely to double by 2012. A staggering 'one in seven' mothers work flexible hours with 12 percent of them using a 'Term Time' working arrangement. According to the Office for National Statistics there are a growing number of women-owned businesses in the UK, almost one million, with around half a million women working from home.

What Do You Aim To Achieve In The Next 12 Months?
I believe companies will benefit with this online service as it is over 50% cheaper than conventional recruitment advertising and offers monthly and yearly subscriptions, rather than a one off advert. The work remotely concept can be used for the creation of new positions and to test the cost benefit before making the position permanent. Remote work is also ideally used for handling employment peaks and troughs in a cost effective way.

This concept interests large and small companies, yet for different reasons. Working remotely has many positive effects on both employees and employers, with Directors and CEOs believing this trend is likely to develop over the next few years.
