Margarita, I think you have made a really valid point. I have found that unless I have clear goals, I become demotivated. Then it's time to pick the kids up and another day gone! I have done absolutely nothing. Jayne

What Are You Hoping To Gain From Joining Web Mums?
Friends, business advice, business contacts (networking), marketing opportunities, knowledge
A Little About Me:
Mum to 4. One with profound special needs. Interested in animal welfare/fundraising. Doing a payroll diploma. Interested in crafts.
A Little About My Business
Other than the odd sell on ebay (100% positive feedback). Looking to do own website and possibly look into selling own homemade stuff in the future. But would also like to do payroll/bookkeeping from home too.
Favourite Word or Quote:
Cats!
Anything Else You'd Like To Add?
I must join social networking sites and would like to start blogs based on my favourite topics: cats and special needs

Soon (hopefully) I will be a qualified payroll professional, but don't what to do!

I have spent the best part of a year studying for a level 3, diploma in payroll management from home. I have no previous payroll experience;but believed this is something I can do freelance, etc. I have only a few more units to do and the computerised bit. Now as I am nearing the end, my thoughts are now turning to the issue of my lack of real work experience. I have the theory and ability to access information - ie HMRC website. But how can someone like me really be a serious contender? I have thought about gaining some 'hands-on' voluntary experience, but this area would be a little unusual. Yet, I really want and need to do this from home, or certainly, on a self-employed, freelance basis. With my family situation what it is going out to work is not viable.

If any webmums have any ideas, I would be really grateful! As a solution to this quandary really eludes me!!
