Hiya
Will have a think and get back to you although am trying to sort out a paypal problem for my new site, I registered it via my Gib address and now it is not letting us add paypal to the new site!! So will have to re-register I think at my UK address, oh the joys!
Will have a look at the aromatheraphy products re a TGF post and let you know, am only doing fairtrade posts for the next two weeks but could run it as part of a mothers day feature we are doing.
We brought the kids out here with us they were 14, 10 and 7 at the time, its a better way of life for them although they do not always agree!

Hiya
Let me know what type of green/fairtrade products you are looking at and I will have a look through my contacts folder and see if I can point you in the right direction. The Green Familia is a green shopping blog, where I highlight goodies that I love or think would be a good buy so I would be able to post about you once you are stocking the products.
I have 2 spanish water dogs pepe and bella and got them when we moved to Gib/Spain 2 years ago, and would not be without them, kids moan I love them more than them now! (only because they do not answer back!). We moved here because my hubby is from Gib and he wanted to semi-retire, so I spent a 17 months not doing very much and started blogging for a friend and now am working like a mad woman all hours on lots of differing ventures.
Will check out your site as it is a great concept, especially for people like me. My favourite site since I moved here has been Moonpig as it means I have been able to send cards reliably!
Chat to you soon

Sorry Helen, I've just said the same to Victoria - seems there is a glitch on Web Mums today (typical). I can see my post but it hasn't registered anywhere and the site is running slower than a 94 yr old slug, with a zimmer frame.....and a blindfold!

Are you experiencing the same?
I'm trying to get it rectified ASAP!

I'll let you know when it's back up!

What are the scripts for. My suggestion would be to get yourself on twitter.com and then start to search for actors who are on twitter and follow them. Then hopefully they will follow you back and you can direct message them with a question of how to get into that sort of filed for script writing.

I have some interesting people following me on twitter, including two actors out of Stargate Atlantis and also Stephen Fry.

Hi Helen

Thanks for your message and 'becoming a fan'! I haven't as yet found the noticeboard on netmums but will definately take a look, thanks for letting me know about it.

Don't know if your familiar with Mumsclub? That's another that I visit quite frequently and find useful although its more for networking with other mums in business.

Thanks again

Hi Helen

Just to say that I've 'become a fan' of your facebook page after reading your post on the Social Networking Group forum. Think the cross over will work well with my site visitors! Was just wondering if you'd be good enough to reciprocate the favour? My business page is http://www.new.facebook.com/pages/Party-Bags-Goods-Novelties/12731188339?ref=s

Thanks, Leigh.x

A Little About Me:
I'm a mother of two great teenagers and I enjoy writing, crafts, embroidery and motorbiking (which I gave up last year when my husband nearly killed himself!). I am writing a TV drama script at the moment and hope that one day someone will be interested. I'd love to write for tv soaps as well. Due to a spine problem which has caused me to give up full time work and an ex husband who takes no responsibility for our lovely kids, I have recently embarked on a new career in ecommerce and set up an online Gifts business with a giftwrap service. I hope my site will be of use to people who are housebound, or live in rural areas with no decent shops or just busy mums. I also hope to be able to support local craftspeople who make top quality items or cards that I can sell. I am also hoping to promote my site overseas to people who have families still in the UK and can use my services to send presents and be sure that it will actually arrive. I am originally from Hampshire and don't know anyone up here so it will be nice to chat to people when work allows, as it can get lonely working from home.

Professional or Personal?

I have been trained over the years on being professional in the workplace and when dealing with customers, it is ingrained in me, with systems for things and proper ways to do things and this is how I have set out my business. I have tried to give off the impression of a reasonably sized credible business rather than a Mum in a bedroom, as I felt this may put people off and perhaps they would wonder if they would get their gift or not or if I might run off with their credit card details.

I have… Continue

It's nice to be recognised!

Hi all,

Some of you have probably heard of Remote Employment from this site and they recently did an Awards competition in conjunction with BT for home workers and home businesses.

Being quite shy myself I wouldn't normally put myself forward for something like this, but I am learning that with business comes PR and you do have to grab every opportunity to promote yourself. However, as I have a very big space problem and desperately need to employ some help, but have no room to house them, I e… Continue

A Little Bit of Sunshine Makes all the Difference

Sunshine does make such a difference to your outlook on life and I certainly enjoyed the lovely spring day we had in Yorkshire on Saturday. I actually got out in the garden and it's nice and tidy now. I've been so busy with the business that I didn't get out at all last year and my veggies didn't do too well either with the poor weather and my neglect. This year I am being realistic and not even planting any!

A few years back where I used to live we had a bird (Starling I think) that used to mi… Continue

Magic Tricks for Dads

Hi,

As most of you have young children I just thought I'd tell you know about a fab new product I am promoting for a friend of mine - he's a Magician!

It is an online course of 8 professional magic tricks that Dad can easily learn to entertain the kids and show off his magic powers!

Why should us Mums do all the work, buy this for Dad (£14.99) and he can keep the kids occupied while you put your feet up!

Also ideal for Grandparents and Mums too.… Continue

Don't forget to update your copyright to 2009

Hi all,

Just got a reminder from my SEO news to update the copyright on our website footers to 2009. Apparetnly this can help with SEO, but I suppose at the very least it needs correcting to 2009 and I wouldn't have even thought about it!

Cheers
