- I am a SAHM, but trying to be a working SAHM. I am trying to start up a craft business selling Personalised gifts made by the art of pyrography. Gifts range from wedding keepsakes, christening, birth plaques, birthday, new home, a child art work hanger etc. At christmas I made personalised decorations for the tree, the best seller was personalised teacher gifts and I had some wonderful feedback that the teachers specially wrote a personal thank you that it was the most thoughful gift. I want to be flexible in my approach, eg you can ask to change the wording of a particular gift, so that it makes a special gift for someone to give, change the ribbon colour etc

I haven't really made any sales yet which is a bit demotivating. But I've made some flyers to hand around to direct people to the ebid shop. I gave one to a lady at my little boy's pre-school gym activity class and she loved them, she is going to buy one of my items. Apart from that I'm feeling down that maybe the items are rubbish.
I've put a question on one of the groups about pricing, how do you know what price to set? If anyone has looked at my ebid page http://uk.four.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?mo=user-store&title=Samigails-Personalised-handmade-Gifts i wondered if anybody had any views - are the items too expensive?
Any criticism is welcomed, I think there is a lot to be gained from constructive criticism.
Oh, and I'm going to my very first fair next week - please keep fingers crossed I don't fall flat on my face!
Anyway - glad to see that you are already a member - I guess I haven't managed a natter with you yet so I didn't realise you were here!
