Kate Sarl Comment by Kate Sarl on 30 July 2008 at 5:35pm
Hello, My name is Katie Sarl and I run an educational publishers with my mum. We mostly sell through distributors but are starting to sell direct through the website.

I work from home mostly, although recently my job has taken me all over the country visiting distributors, taking part in conferences and exhibitions.

We recently launched a range for parents to teach their children to read at home called Bright Start. I trialled this on my son and he was reading at 3 years old. Please don't think I advocate hothousing children but I after teaching Henry to walk and talk I wanted to be the person that taught him to read.

I'm looking for ideas how to promote another of our new products called Bright Beginnings which is for nurseries, pre-schools and reception classes. Bright Beginnings is a language enrichment pack for 3- 5 year olds and covers all the EYFS Learning and Development goals - actually it provides a year's curriculum for a teacher (so no lesson planning necessary). It is a multi sensory, play-based pack and took 9 months to design, research and trial. If any of you were(or still are) reception teachers or nursery assistants maybe you could let me know what catalogues you ordered from so that I could approach them.

Many thanks

Katie
