Thanks Helen, I think I just bought the wrong one last time, trouble is I bought three bottles! Still I use it up really quickly. Its the base oil in the main healing oil I use so it doesn't last long!

Hi Claire
Welcome to the Aromatherapy & Massage group.
There are different Sandalwood oils, & the range in price is enormous.
Sandalwood - amayris is an affordable type & I find it has a soft, subtle aroma.
Typically below £5 per 10ml bottle. It is a good choice as a base note oil.
Sandalwood is a natural moisturiser, soothing & rehydrating for the skin.
Hope it helps.

Hi Helen & everyone else of course!
I would just like to say that although I am not an aromatherapist I do use a lot of essentail oils in my magicks, some of which are used for healing, especially when used during bathing.
At the miute I am finding it difficult to get hold of a really nice sandalwood oil the last ones I had seemed to have a bitterness to them - not that I tasted them of course! But they just didn't smell quite right. Are there different types of sandalwood oil, I am aware of different sandalwood chips etc, but not the oils. I use sandalwood as a base for a lot of my magickal oils so I do really need to find a good one (that doesn't break the bank lol). Any suggestions?
