If you have any techy questions then put them in here and I or someone will do their best to help you. ie. If you want to customise your me page, add pics, use HTML, add music or vids etc etc - Just shout and I'll help!
If you'd like to add pics to messages that you leave for people then you need to firstly have an online image hoster - I use Photobucket (which I think is one of the best), you need to get an account with them (its free) and then start to upload pics from your PC to your a/c on PB (photobucket). You can also search photobucket for thousands of pics that you can transfer to your own a/c - so you dont even have to upload anything from your pc. Try putting 'hello' into the search box on PB - you will get hundreds of pics for you to look through with 'hello'. If you see one you like, click on it and you will be asked if you want to save it to your album - click yes and it will automatically be traansferred into your PB album.
Within your album you can add categories so that you can keep your pics sorted nicely. You could call one category 'hello' and 'move' your new pic to its new category. NOTE Don't use a pic for something and then move it as you will break your link and the pic will vanish.
So you have your pic and you want to use it over here........underneath your pic in PB you will see 4 options :-
to put your pic over here you will need to click on the 3rd one - HTML Tag. It will say 'copied' after you click it. You then need to come over here. Write your message and then 'right click' on your mouse, choose 'paste' and you will see a code has appeared on the screen. Once you have posted your message - your code will transform into your pic!
If any of this is confusing and you'd like me to clarify it - just let me know!!

Nikki, I have just tried to customise my page and it won't let me choose another theme. Keep getting the no entry sign??? Any ideas or is it just my stupid computer. Didn't have a prob first time round. Jo x
There are no restrictions in place with regards to changing the theme of your profile pages - it may be that the site is running slow - or it could poss be your pc having a moment. try signing out of the site and back in again to see if that helps. Let me know how you get on!!

Nikki, as you can see, I've managed to actually get on here (using Firefox). It's letting me do all this - write/post, but once it's posted, it's freezing and 'not responding', much like how IE was doing and I'm having to ctrl/alt/del and restart it.
I managed to find some common files in amongst the aol garb, but I know there has to be something hidden somewhere else that's sneaked in whilst somewhere/downloading summat else!
Ok, well slight improvement in that you're here - I'll get back to the brains and see if there is anything else they can suggest. I think sometimes its a case of without seeing your computer - its difficult to say.
All I know is that this site isn't well suited to aol - hopefully we can get it sorted!!
Nikki
Still coming up with error on page and cant change photo good to see someone else is having problems cant even customise my page just black square.
Jane
Well, so far Jane it's just Joy that has had probs and by her own admission - her pc is struggling at the mo all round. This site is particularly unfriendly towards AOL for whatever reason so I wonder if that may be the problem with you recent techy hitch. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it!
yes, give it a go and see if it makes a difference jane, at least then we can see whether its a page glitch or something to do with your browser. I haven't had this problem with any other members so I'm not sure what to suggest - other than to try this re-join 1st and then go from there.
